Capital City Pride 6/17/17

So, normally I post about politics or a protest event. Today I am sharing my favorite celebration. Capital City Pride! Yes, there are political pictures and some great candidates that walked in the parade. I walked with one, Renata Rollins, who is running for Olympia City Council.

But Capital City Pride, for me, is about our community. It is a wonderful family friendly celebration. Somehow this year felt bigger than any year I've attended in the past. But still as welcoming as ever. This was the first place I felt 100% accepted not just by family or friends but by everyone (expect the obligatory protesting fundamentalist) For that it will always be special to me.
